Bio
I was created in Napier 1985, where I grew tall and made silver coins selling neighbours
bunches of flowers that I had snaked from other neighbours backyards.
I grew taller, moved to England, then became homesick and returned to embark upon
a creative career, starting with a Bachelor of Design Degree at Massey University in Wellington.
Starting out in textiles, I moved through the arty realms of graphic design, screenprinting,
video, and painting, to end up majoring in Illustration.
And still, i remain in Wellington since graduating in 2008. I live atop a large
and Windy Windy Hill looking out over the Cook Strait, where i have been working on freelance projects,
personal paintings, and private painting commissions.
My first solo exhibition , ‘The Jellyfish Crossroads’ opened in March 2010 at Pixel Ink Gallery on Cuba Street , Wellington.
Previously my work has been shown in Pixel Ink Gallery group shows, including ‘Animalia’ and ‘Nature It Walks’.
In 2009 I had pieces in HER magazine and Kia Ora Air NZ magazine.
My work is used for the cover of JAAM 27: Wanderings; Poetry, short stories and creative non fiction 2009.
I’ve also spent time on a few album covers, poster art, tattoo designs, and handdrawn web banner designs.
I’m currently showing a few paintings at Plum Cafe in cuba street. Also working on developing my style,
expanding my illustrative portfolio, battling with my printer/scanner, and looking for commissions and work.
